National Defence Academy ‘G. S. Rakovski’

A combat sports course has been organised in the National Defence Academy ‘G. S. Rakovski’

 

The National Defence Academy ‘G. S. Rakovski’ is the oldest military academy in Bulgaria. It was created by law by the XV National Assembly on March 1st 1912.

A course on combat sports is being held in the academy’s gymnasium by order ą 3Z-1033/23.11.2012 of the head of NDA ‘G.S. Rakovski’.

The goal of the course is enhancing the overall physical training of the attendees, as well as acquiring and developing basic skills in combat sports.

The course is attended by servicemen, as well as by civilians from the academy’s faculty, and by students. Classes will continue through the whole academic year. You can sign up at any time for this course, so don’t hesitate!

The instructors are Bozhidar Stanchev and Valeri Ivanov.

Classes are held every Tuesday and  Thursday at 14:30.

Eng. Bozhidar Stanchev is the co-founder and vice-president of the Managing Committee

For Kung-Fu Centre Xuangui’ – Wing Chung, Jeet Kune Do, and Filipino martial arts (Arnis, Escrima, and Kali). He is and official representative and a Chief Instructor – sifu for Bulgaria (4th Dan) – for the Traditional Organisation for Wing Chun and Escrima (I Kwoon). B. Stanchev is a full instructor (5th Dan) for the International Martial Arts and Special Tactics Institute (IMASTI). He has specialized in the disciplines of Jeet Fan Kune Do, Western boxing, JKD kick boxing, Muay Thai, Grappling, and Filipino Martial Arts. He is an IMASTI instructor in unarmed tactical training and use of auxiliary weapons during specialized classes for security teams.
